مک بوک ایر طراحی زیبایی دارد. حتی مک بوک پرو جدید 13 اینچی با صفحه نمایش رتینا از آن هم بهتر است. اما اپل تنها برنده دنیای کامپیوترها نیست که ویژگی های منحصر به فرد را برای کاربران به ارمغان می آورد. در زیر می خواهیم سه ویژگی را ذکر کنیم که مک بوک های اپل ندارند:

بهره بردن از 4G داخلی: اولترابوک EliteBook Revolve را می توان با 4G داخلی LTE یا با HSPA+ تهیه کرد. اما مک بوک ها تنها با داشتن Wi-Fi کمی کسل کننده شده اند. سال 2013 در چند قدمی ماست، 4G باید یکی از گزینه هایی باشد که بتوان در مک بوک ها استفاده کرد.

داکینگ استیشن یا جایی برای اتصال: داکینگ استیشن (Docking Station) وسیله جانبی است که لپ تاپ به آن متصل می شود. به داکینگ استیشن می توان بسیاری از وسایل مورد نیاز را وصل کرد. هنگام اتصال لپ تاپ به این وسیله، تمام وسایل جانبی وصل شده به داکینگ استیشن، به لپ تاپ وصل می شوند. وجود این قابلیت خیلی از کارها را راحت می کند و با وجود آن دیگر نیازی به کابل و سیم نخواهد بود. یک داکینگ استیشن خوب همانند آنهایی که خود اچ پی تولید می‌کند، پورت های زیادی در اختیار کاربر قرار می‌دهد که گستره وسیعی از پورت‌ها را به لپ تاپ شما اضافه می‌کند. در واقع داکینگ استیشن وسیله‌ای است که دارای پورت‌های ورودی و خروجی است و لپ‌تاپ به آن متصل می‌شود و از طریق آن برق مورد نیاز خود را دریافت می‌کند. پس وقتی لپ تاپ خود را به آن متصل می‌کنید دیگر نیازی نیست تا شارژر و ماوس و موارد دیگر را به لپ تاپ خود متصل کنید و همه اینها را از قبل به این داک متصل کرده‌اید، هر وقت هم بخواهید لپ تاپ را با خود حمل کنید، تنها کافی است آن را از داک جدا کرده و باقی لوازم متصل شده به داک را رها می‌کنید.

درست است که داکینگ استیشن های زیادی در بازار وجود دارد اما باید گفت که داکینگ استیشن اچ پی یک چیز دیگر است. چرا که طوری طراحی شده که با روشنی لپ تاپ شروع به کار می کند، سرعت بالایی دارد و جای پورت‌ها در نقاط مناسب قرار گرفته‌اند.

در این روزها وقتی مک بوک ها را با لپ تاپ های ویندوز 8 مقایسه می کنیم، متوجه تفاوت‌هایی می‌شویم که روی ما را از لپ‌تاپ‌های اپل برمی‌گرداند و متوجه ویندوز 8 تازه وارد می کنند. همچنین باید توجه کرد که اپل با مک بوک‌هایش تنها یک شرکت است اما ویندوز 8 توسط مجموعه‌ای از شرکت‌ها حمایت می شود که هرکدام ایده‌های خوب مخصوص به خود را دارند. انتخاب با شماست!
